That’s why we are beyond excited to share with you the recent work we completed at Chadstone S.C. to bring the Au79 space to life.
The Delta Solution
There’s no doubt that the particular kiosk where Au79 now lives had always been a space that should utilise unique design. Vicinity Group came to us with a challenge to transform that kiosk into a grand designed cafe to complement the other higher end stores in that section of Chadstone. We were brought into the project because of our existing relationship with the owner operator of Au79 and with our extensive commercial experience, we knew we had what it took to tackle this project from the ground up.
The project spanned across a 12 week period and involved an array of members from different design, product, trade & project management groups. As this project was not a typical fitout, there were a number of hurdles we were faced with regarding timing, logistics and engineering, so lots of back and forth meetings were carried out between all parties involved.
Our team should also be commended for the use of eight scissor lifts and two spider cranes to erect and complete the total structure works. The finished design includes approximately 10 tonnes of LVL material and approximately 4 kilometres of aluminium extrusion. The main structure is comprised of a hybrid of steel and LVL timber and the overhead feature material used a combination of aluminium, typical joinery and stone to create an overall fit out that not only enhances the space, but also compliments the Chadstone SC structure and design, taking elements from its surroundings and amplifying this with its sheer size.
